About Me

Hello! My name is Savannah Cole. I am a junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am majoring in the Hussman School of Journalism and Media. This is my first year at UNC. I transferred from Randolph Community College where I earned an Associate of Arts degree. I plan to graduate in the Spring of 2021 with my Bachelor’s degree. After graduation, I hope to work for a news station as a news reporter and eventually as a news anchor. I love the Hussman School of Journalism and Media because I learn new skills every day that will help me become a great journalist. What inspired me to become a journalist was the movie How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Once I started researching the journalism career, I fell in love with the profession. There are so many job opportunities in the journalism field. I think it is extremely important to give a voice to the voiceless. I hope that one day I can make a difference in the world and help others.
